箴言21:5［殷勤籌劃的足致豐裕, 行事急躁的都必缺乏.］籌畫字面意思是想法, 思想. 一般被譯為計畫. 此計畫中隱含著忍耐, 與下半節的急躁相對比. 兼具忍耐的籌畫, 必帶來繁榮. 急躁是為早日成功而不擇手段. 本節勸勉人當心存忍耐, 並按計劃勤勉作工. 有期待才有未來. 決定你人生的成敗不在於你所處的環境, 而是在於你對你的人生是否有所期待. 所謂窮則變, 變則通, 通則久. 對未來的期待不同, 會使我們面對生活的態度有所不同, 當然, 人生的結局也因此而截然不同. 在聖經中, 使徒保羅曾説過, 這不是説我已得到, 已完全, 我乃是竭力追求. 保羅在各方面已經非常有成就, 新約中大部份的教會都是他創立的. 而保羅卻説這不是我已得著了. 保羅是說我還有很大的空間去進步. 我還可以做的更好. 這就是一種追求卓越的態度. 有許多人條件很好, 卻吊而啷噹, 不願去盡力. 許多人對跳廣塲舞的大媽不屑一顧. 殊不知這些大媽正在重塑華人新的精神面貌. 也就是論語微子所謂”往者不可諫, 來者猶可追”的精神. 您知道這些大媽在美國的精彩表現嗎？ 她們有勇氣再嫁白人, 在美國從基層做起, 闖蕩新大陸. 從她們的身上, 可以看到她們的靭性與堅忍. 我認識一位可敬的大媽, 英文不通, 卻能開大貨車, 走南闖北. 她18歲的女兒正在參軍. 以後將以醫學院為目標. 她們的自立自強, 白手起家, 勇於拼搏的精神, 真是令人尊敬. 從她們的身上, 我們可以看到保羅的影子. 道理很簡單, 認真而已, 盡力而已. 你對你的人生盡了力, 而了無遺憾嗎？應該放下虛幻的面紗, 過一個真實, 而令人敬重的人生. 為什麼有人成功, 有人失敗？關鍵在於是否能超越自己的捆綁, 追求卓越的人生. 你對你的人生有所期待嗎？ 你願意做一隻打不死的蟑螂, 而能羽化成仙嗎？願上帝更新你的眼光, 使你在面對不同的環境與挑戰時, 都有一顆追求卓越的心. 相信上帝必要加添你的能力, 使你發現自己無限的可能, 從而迎向成功的未來.
Proverbs 21:5 [Those who plan diligently will have abundance, but those who act hastily will have want.] To plan literally means to think, to think. It is generally translated as a plan.
