Leave it into the hands of the Lord? Matthew 11:28 [Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest… Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, and you will find rest for your souls.] Rest means taking the Lord’s yoke and learning His style, rather than putting the burden of labor in the Lord’s hands without making any efforts. Many believers interpret rest as death being called by the Lord, which is understandable. Because rest is the process of martyrdom. . If the phrase “entrusted to the Lord’s hands” is understood in good faith, it will emphasize the value of surrender. God is God, man is not God, so put aside your past glory, excuses, fears, and obey God. However, people use this phrase At that time, it seemed as if the figure of Christ was not the cross but the couch. This phrase is cleverly used to put a brake on struggle, work, effort, and hard work. Now, if being delivered into the hands of the Lord refers to justification, there is nothing wrong with that. . But this is often said of the process of sanctification, and the process of sanctification is never merely passive. The Christian life requires effort. We are called to strive to complete the work that God has already done in us. This rest-filled effort , the Puritans called it holy sweat. Matthew 16:24 Jesus said to his disciples [If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.] This is the Christian life, living and destiny The core. As J. I. Packer pointed out, “The Christian’s motto should not be to leave it in the hands of the Lord, but to trust God and work hard.”
