Sins forgiven – 1 John 1:9 [If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.] There was an old woman , often told people about God’s appearance to Him, but no one took it seriously. The pastor of the church said to her, “The next time God appears to you, ask Him about the sins I have committed. Those are the sins that only He can do.” You know the sin, and this proves that what you said is true.” After a while, the pastor met the old woman again and asked her, “Has God appeared to you?” The old woman said, “Of course he has!” The pastor asked, “Did He tell you about the sins I committed?” The old woman said, “I asked! God wants me to tell you, but He has forgotten it.” God has forgotten it! What a great statement! All the sins we confess will no longer be remembered by God. Those things can no longer control us, and Satan can no longer use them to accuse us. In Christ, we are new creations and truly free people. Heavenly Father God who loves us, thank you for your unfailing love for us. We admit our weakness and often sin against you. We come before you and pray for your heavenly Father’s forgiveness and cleanse us from our unrighteousness. Please You help us to rely on the strength You have given us to become new creations, forgetting what is behind and working hard on what is ahead. Help us to rely on You to overcome Satan’s attacks, overcome our weak selves, and live a victorious life. Prayer is an act of worship. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
