Slow to anger – Psalm 37:8 [Cease your anger and forsake wrath. Do not harbor grievances that lead to evil.] [Story] There was a man who often lost his temper. When something went wrong, he became angry. He examined the reason. , thinking that every time he got angry was caused by others. In order to improve his self-cultivation, he decided to hide in the mountains alone to cultivate his character. One day, he took a water jug to the river to get water. Accidentally, he pretended to The full jar fell over, so he had to go to get more water. But halfway through, he spilled the water in the jar all over the floor. This happened three times in a row. In a fit of anger, he smashed the entire jar to the ground. He looked at it. There were pieces all over the floor, and he blamed himself and said, “When I got angry before, I thought it was caused by others. Now I am the only one who can lose such a big temper. It shows that anger is not caused by others, but comes from my own heart.” [Thinking] When we want to blame others for our mistakes, we are often the source of the problem. Only through good self-examination and obedience from the heart can we have real peace. And when Jesus reigns in the heart, the problem can truly be resolved Solution. [Prayer] Our Father God in heaven, we come before your throne of grace and ask for your love and mercy. We often feel jealous of others and feel unfair, and we easily get angry, hurting ourselves and others. Lord, please help us to always rely on You, control our emotions and words and deeds, be slow to anger, and enable us to fully surrender and have Your presence in our hearts. This prayer is in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!
