憐憫的心—-馬太福音18:33［你不應當憐恤你的同伴, 像我憐恤你麼？］［故事］有一個人坐在一列長途火車上, 他實在無法入睡, 因為有個哭鬧不停的嬰兒吵著他, 而那位父親似乎手足無措的照顧著. 這個人忍不住的叫著說”你為什麼不把嬰兒交給他媽媽, 好讓我們大家可以安靜地睡一下？” 這位疲倦的父回答說”朋友, 對不起, 我也希望我能這麽做, 但我的妻子, 就是嬰兒的母親, 昨天去逝了. 她的屍體在前面的火車廂上, 我們正要將她運回去安葬.” [思考］當我們對周圍一些人所遭遇的事情並不真正了解時, 我們往往只看到事情的表面, 如果有了完全的解釋後, 我們對自己的論斷會感到愧疚. 求主幫助我們看到人們心靈深處真正的需要. 以關懷代替責備, 以愛心代替怒氣. ［禱告］親愛的天父上帝, 感謝祢對我們總是有滿滿的慈愛和憐憫, 在我們傷心難過, 灰心失望時, 總是安慰和激勵我們. 求主幫助我們也要有愛心和憐憫對待周遭的人, 明白他們的處境和需要, 關懷和幫助他們, 讓他們也同樣能夠領受主的愛, 並且心靈得到力量. 禱告是奉主耶穌基督的名, 阿們！
A heart of mercy – Matthew 18:33 [Should you not have mercy on your fellow man as I have mercy on you? ] [Story] There was a man sitting on a long-distance train. He couldn’t sleep because there was a crying baby disturbing him, and the father seemed to be at a loss to take care of him. The man couldn’t help shouting. “Why don’t you give the baby to his mother so we can all have a peaceful sleep?” replied the tired father. “My friend, I’m sorry, I wish I could, but my wife is the baby’s.” Mother, passed away yesterday. Her body was on the train car in front, and we were about to take her back for burial.” [Thinking] When we don’t really understand what is happening to some people around us, we tend to just look at it. When we look at the surface of things, if we have a complete explanation, we will feel guilty about our judgment. Ask the Lord to help us see the real needs deep in people’s hearts. Replace blame with care, and replace anger with love. [Prayer] Dear Heavenly Father God, thank you for always being full of love and mercy towards us. When we are sad, discouraged and disappointed, you always comfort and encourage us. Please help us to also treat the people around us with love and compassion. Understand their situation and needs, care for and help them, so that they can also receive the love of the Lord and gain strength in their hearts.
