受小薪做大事—-馬太福音6:24［一個人不能事奉兩個主. 不是惡這個愛那個, 就是重這個輕那個. 你們不能又事奉神, 又事奉瑪門/財利.］一間外國油公司曾預備出一萬五千美元的年薪, 想聘請當時在中國的一位青年傳教士做該公司在國內的總經理. 那時那位青年傳教士每年只有六百美元的薪水, 但他竟然屢請不就, 問他是否對於一萬五千元的年薪還不滿意？他就毫不遲疑的回答說”你給我的薪水, 確實大極了. 但是你要我做的事實在微小的很. 我如今在教會裹服事, 作救人靈魂的工作, 薪水很小, 但是所做的工卻是世上最重大的. 我情願受小薪而做大事, 不願受大薪而做小事.” [思考］你人生的最高價值是什？追求的是什麼？我們不能心懷二意, 想事奉兩個主, 走兩條路. 必須立定心志, 專一和忠心地把自己完全獻給上帝. ［禱告］我們在天上的父, 我們活著的目的乃是要榮耀祢的聖名, 討祢的喜悅. 雖然世上有許多吸引人的誘惑, 是我們都想要的榮華富貴, 但我們若愛世界, 愛祢的心就不在我們裏面了, 我們若失去了祢就失去了永恆的生命. 求主幫助我們, 堅守我們的信心, 單單信靠順服祢的教導. 禱告是奉主耶穌基督的名. 阿們！
