Honor your parents – Ephesians 6:1-3 [Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is reasonable. Honor your parents so that you may be blessed and live long. This is the first rule. Promised commandments.] [Story] In ancient Japan, poor families had the habit of abandoning their elderly. Once, a poor son carried his mother to the mountain, preparing to abandon her. Along the way, the mother kept breaking off branches and throwing them on the ground. , the son asked impatiently, “Why are you always throwing branches away? You are so troubled when you are about to die.” But the mother replied, “Son, I am here to help you find your way home in this freezing weather in the mountains.” After hearing this, the son burst into tears and carried his mother home again. [Thinking] The greatness of maternal love is difficult to describe in words. Honoring parents is a matter of course and is taught by the Bible. Children should be grateful and repay their parents for their kindness. Gratitude. Be a grateful person. The more grateful you are, the happier you are. [Prayer] Dear Heavenly Father God, thank you for giving us loving parents who worked tirelessly to raise us up. We dare not forget their hard work and dedication. .I pray that Heavenly Father will grant us as parents a healthy body, mind and spirit. As children, we will know how to be grateful and take good care of our parents when they are old and frail. Let us have a happy family and enjoy your grace and your promises. The blessing of God makes our home a beautiful testimony, glorifying Your holy name. This prayer is in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!
