生命至寶—-提摩太前書6:5-8［然而, 敬虔加上知足的心便是大利了. 因為我們沒有帶甚麼到世上來, 也不能帶甚麼去, 只要有衣有食, 就當知足.] [䆁義］什麼是你生命中最寳貴的事物？是金錢？名利？還是家庭幸福, 健康的身體？求主的靈光照你, 使你作有智慧的選擇. 大利指好的無比的大收穫, 包括今生的祝福與永生的福份. 前者因為敬處和知足能免除人們對世事世物的憂慮和貪圖, 從而得以免去許多不必要的愁苦. 後者因為不浪費在今生事物的追求上, 轉而追求來生的一切, 故必得著上好的回報.［禱告］親愛的天父上帝, 我們獻上感恩, 因為擁有天父為我們的至寶, 我們有主就是有了一切. 世上的財富, 名利和權勢都是過眼雲煙, 是暫時的, 不是永久的, 不能滿足我們心灵的需要. 也不能給我們永久的平安. 求主賜給我們有健康和喜樂的心. 禱告是奉主耶穌基督的名, 阿們！
The Greatest Treasure in Life – 1 Timothy 6:5-8 But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.] [Explanation] What is the most valuable thing in your life? Is it money? Fame? Or perhaps a happy family and good health? Pray for the Holy Spirit to enlighten you, so you can make wise choices. The “great gain” refers to unparalleled blessings, encompassing both earthly blessings and eternal rewards. Earthly blessings come from godliness and contentment, which free us from unnecessary worries and desires for worldly things, sparing us much grief. Eternal rewards come from redirecting our efforts away from the pursuit of temporary earthly things to seeking the eternal treasures of the life to come, which will bring us the best return. [Prayer] Dear Heavenly Father, we give thanks because You are our greatest treasure. When we have You, we have everything. The wealth, fame, and power of this world are fleeting and temporary; they cannot satisfy the needs of our souls or provide lasting peace. Lord, grant us health and joyful hearts.
