約翰福音16:33［耶穌説：我將這些事告訴你們, 是要叫你們在我裡面有平安. 在世上你們有苦難, 但你們可以放心, 我已經勝了世界.］主耶穌並沒有應許我們可以免除苦難. 但信徒在世上的苦難, 有如生産時的陣痛, 只是從憂愁到喜樂的過程. 苦難有如三明治麵包中的夾肉, 放心和平安有如夾肉上下的兩片麵包, 而這個三明治是放在得勝的盤子上, 送給信徒吃. 我們吃了三明治, 雖然有苦難, 但因伴隨著放心, 平安和得勝, 所以不但能勝過苦難, 反而能從苦難中得到益處, 進入永恆的真理. 本節金句強調逆境中的力量. 人活在世上, 多少都會經歷苦難. 有時甚至很難讓我們理解與明白. 但我們的經歷很意外的會成為許多人在患難中的祝福與安慰. 舊約中的約伯, 是一位正直並且富裕的人. 撒但認為約伯的正直是因為他富有, 生活過的很好. 如果他一無所有, 就不會相信上帝了. 因此撒但便攻擊約伯, 使他的財產被人奪去, 孩子在意外中罹難. 甚至自己也染上了惡疾. 約伯不明白自己為何經歷這些苦難. 但他仍然相信上帝是良善的神. 而故事的最後, 上帝不但報償了約伯的信心, 他過去失去的, 上帝都加倍的償還. 更重要的是, 約伯的生命及他對上帝的認識, 都有了永恆的改變. 他對上帝説, 從前不聞有你, 如今我親眼見你. 親愛的朋友, 上帝可以將一切的苦難, 轉變為你生命的祝福. 為你的生命帶來全然的喜樂與永恆的價值. 使你能真實的經歷到上帝. 你現在正經歷苦難嗎？今天鼓勵你將你的苦難交託給上帝, 上帝必要親自安慰你, 並賜力量給你. 使你在一切苦難裏, 能夠看見上帝的祝福. 使你的生命有全新的可能. 苦難=祝福. 這是生命的方程式. 平安十苦難十放心=得勝. 這是生命的密碼.
