不要做忘恩負義的人—-箴言17:13［以惡報善的, 禍患必不離他的家.］馬太福音7:12［所以, 無論何事, 你們願意人怎樣待你們, 你們也要怎樣待人.］以惡報善是人類普遍的罪, 撒母耳記中的掃羅與大衛就是最好的兩個例子. 神很恩待掃羅王, 在最危急的時候差遣大衛出手打敗巨人歌利亞, 幫了掃羅王的大忙. 掃羅王不但不感激大衛, 反而不斷追殺大衛. 結果掃羅和他的兒子約拿單同在跟非利士人戰鬥時負傷自殺. 由大衛繼承王位. 而大衛有一位盡忠職守的將軍烏利亞在前線為他打仗, 大衛王竟然用計害死烏利亞, 並且覇佔了他的妻子. 後來, 耶和華擊打烏利亞妻給大衛所生的兒子, 使他得重病而死. 大衛王真誠認罪悔改才勝過勝過忘恩負義之罪. 有鍳於此, 現代人莫只是挑剔批評, 要懂得發掘別人的好處, 欣賞別人的優點. 最重要的是操練對神及對人的感恩. 並警惕自己, 要以善勝惡. 馬太福音12:17［不要以惡報惡, 眾人以為美的事, 要留心去做. 若是能行, 總要盡力與眾人和睦.］
