Crossing a Single-Plank Bridge – Proverbs 16:9 [The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.] [Interpretation] Life is like crossing a single-plank bridge. God does not reveal the path ahead to us because He fears we might lose the courage to move forward. God wants us to rely on Him for our lives, and His word is the light for our feet and the staff in our hands. The phrase “The heart of man plans his way” means that while God holds sovereignty, He also grants us freedom. With freedom comes responsibility. We have the responsibility to plan our lives, our future, and how we use our lifetime. However, whether our plans succeed depends on God. [Prayer] Dear Heavenly Father, although we cannot see the road ahead in our lives, and it may be fraught with dangers, we are unable to predict and pre-plan everything. In truth, our entire life is within Your plan. As long as we rely on You and follow You, You will make a way for us. Your rod and staff will guide us through the valley of the shadow of death, giving us comfort and strength. We thank You. We pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!
